We, scientists from the Center for Animals Near Biological Extinction (CANBE: www.canbe.org) are working to preserve allelic diversity of species before their numbers dwindle. The adaptability of a species is strongly influenced by it population size and allelic diversity. By cryopreserving semen, allelic diversity can be preserved. We are making progress by developing better methods for collection, concentrating and cryopreserving semen. On this day we are working on pacific tree frog semen. Higher quality video and many more clips are on our facebook page. Please visit our web site. You can help us with our work. Our motto is: Be a Verb; Not a Noun.
