I just made such a thing of glass with advanced lightning settings and soft shadows and another glas object behind it and my render bar is stuck right now while my cpu (q9550@3.6) and ram (4gb) are sitting at 100% usage.. "Every iteration is going to dramatically slow down render time", but atleast it's gonna make everything look really smooth and cool xD

Not true, I have 3ds max 9 and it works just fine on Vista.
