Some outtakes from the Mountains music video by Prince & The Revolution.
There's well over an hour of this footage but I cut it down to 15 minutes. It's pretty tedious to watch.

Pitch has been raised by 1 semitone.

  • Yeah! It's pretty tedious but he is funny and the song is amazing! It's nice to see him in this video!

  • @briney1973 I'm not alone! I have the exact same thoughts on his first two! Graffiti Bridge I've always viewed as his "80's Greatest Unreleased Hits" sort of, meaning he put together an album of songs and projects that he'd wished would of made onto SOTT for example, etc. etc.

As soon as Prince appropriated hip hop junk I was done, sort of. Again, it became spotty with absolute moments of brilliance in D+P and ACT I+II/Gold/Come then it was over.

  • @CloudsBeyond He won't join BUT does or did work with majors for distribution, only, etc. after WB. But most of those things were just one off.

He doesn't even sell albums to fans. His last album in 2010 was sold only to newspapers overseas in Europe. He sold about 1-2 or 3 million something like that but NOT to fans, he sold his album to newspapers and had instant profit. All without ONE single fan purchase. Thats how he cleverly, sneaky clever, sells his albums now.

  • @wendileona very true! The early stuff was great, and now he is just insignificant sadly as a recording artist. He should really look at joining a major record label even for say 3 or 5 album deal but doubt he will do it.

  • @CloudsBeyond Thats why I focus and just enjoy the WB records era stuff. I have little to no interest in basically anything after that period. But thats just me. He just does what he does because he's indie and he's sort of limited in what he can do with religion being one limiter and the other logistics of going at it all alone.

  • @wendileona may have influence but bottom line - he started releasing SHITE and seemed not to care too much on quality of what he was releasing, add to that over prolific of course quality will suffer. He has much better songs in his vaults than the garbage he releases these days. Any recent album even with promotion like Madonna or Lady Ga Ga gets would never sell loads, as he has lost hiscreativity & originality. The early albums were great though.

  • @treyspr Yeah, Dr. Fink looks super slick in all white and spinning what appears to be a pocket watch I think and grooving, really, too cool as you put it!
