Reference: Wavelet methods for regularizing the solutions of Galerkin-truncated Burgers and 2D Euler equations

Time evolution of the continuous wavelet transform coefficients of the Galerkin-truncated solution to inviscid Burgers equation. This is a three-mode initial condition, the same used in "Resonance phenomenon for the Galerkin-truncated Burgers and Euler equations". by Ray et al.. One can see the appearance of the resonance phenomenon caused by the truncation, destroying the solution.

Check http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j4VfBGgSy30 for a slow motion evolution around the birth of the resonances.
