I really like this alot:) I've only used the method with pigment waxes+an iron...I much prefer your method+your colours look far more subtle than the ones I can buy here in the UK..really great.I'd love to do this in my life drawing class but doubt I'd be allowed to;(..cheers Sophie;)

@nuvi01 Please make sure the volume on your computer is turned up and not muted. Also check to see that your speakers are turned on - there is audio in this video.

Thanks for the tips. Are you using an encaustic medium as your top coat, or is it strictly melted dammar?

In this piece she is using Enkaustikos Wax Medium X-D which has a higher content of Damar Resin to allow you to build texture more easily. It is often used as a base coat, paint extender, and top coat.
