This is a 2-part video. In the first part, we explain Associations and show how to create an association between two different External Content Types using SharePoint Designer 2010. In the second part, we show how to create a Profile Page for an External Content Type as a way of viewing the associated data. We also show how to customize Profile Pages, as well as how to use the BCS Web Parts.

  • The Business Data Web Parts (and as a result, BCS Profile Pages) are not available in Microsoft SharePoint Foundation 2010.

You'll need to upgrade to Microsoft SharePoint Server 2010 to use those features.

    Hope that helps.

  • I followed your web cast. I use Foundation 2010 and SharePoint Designer 2010 I did an External Content Type and an Association, but I can not see the category called Business Data Web Parts and I can not create profile pages for External Content Type. Can you help me?
