Sugar Cubes and Booze kept me busy during the 60's. I missed a Great Deal because of it. Now i'm looking for what i missed in Video and Music. This is a Fine Example of what i missed. Thanks 4 Sharing it. One Song Down and Hundreds to go.

Rick Dane (Caroline pirate radio DJ) writing in London Life 17 Dec 1966: 'Four dimensional sound...could create a whole new trend of pop thought'. Caroline was named after JFK's daughter, by the way.

I did a lot of Sandoz acid in '66 - '69 and tripped to this often - It takes you there!

I only found out about it from 'The Best Music You've Never Heard', put out by the Rough Guide people. A great song, and thanks for putting it up. Greetings from australia.

What an absolute incredible song

mi domando perchè siano passati così sottotraccia...... grande gruppo, canzone da incorniciare.... ma sono considerati una band minore, un po' come Spanky & our Gang altro gruppo underrated

@annapurna5 Check out the Black Angels. Nice modern psych band from Texas. Combo of the Doors/13th Floor.

As a singer/songwriter, I've started listening to psychedelic rock again and am really into bands like Them, The Zombies but especially 13th Floor Elevators and West Coast Pop Art Experimental Band. These guys are fantastic and I really love this track! Why the hell have I not heard this before????

nice story in john peels book about this lot. I'd never heard them before. i think he invited them to uk. anyway- FWIW he described this at the time as the best record ever made , and as playing one of best gigs he'd ever seen. cheers for posting
One of the truly great singles of its era, cruelly overlooked when it came out, rarely played on the radio and pretty well impossible to buy in the shops, even in London. It also suffered from killer competition from singles bands like the Electric Prunes and Left Banke, and LP masterworks by the Byrds, Love and Doors. And, crucially, nobody knew if the Misunderstood were Yanks or Brits. There was just too much magnificent music being made 66-67 - this band lost out. They were well named.
