They did in 3 :D And the ones you assign to your Strong Slot (aka O button), depending on the skill, will take quite a bit of HP.

when did skills ever take up HP? it was mp in 1 and pretty sure it was mp in 2.

I feel STUPID! i just found out this game is out, i use to be on top of that shit. I LOVE the star ocean series, need to get this as soon as possible!

cool; so now, Instead of skills using up HP, they'll take up MP. Plus you wont have to worry about Long/Short range when using skills. Neat
