I have allergies and I heard this dog is hypoallergenic? My bf refuses to get a small dog so most hypoallergenic breeds are out of the question. I LOVE this breed but I live in Florida. Worried that the extra shedding may be too much for my allergies.

hey, my family is interested in getting a NAID but we are concerned about how much it sheds. I've heard that they shed only twice a year, but I've heard mixed things about how much it sheds. Can you please tell me how much your NAID sheds?

@kenyi57 Well actually what we experienced was alot of shedding of her baby coat this summer, now im not sure if next year it will do the same thing but it does not shed during winter months, for example right now (fall/winter) i can pull on her fur and get nothing to come out, but when it was hot it fell out in clumps

I love your dog. I can't find a breeder or anything who has Native american indian dog in Illinois.
