Dashbboard Confessional - Thick as Thieves Video Contest

A collaborative project between Traffic Jam Productions and Four Eyes Studios: This "Thick as Thieves" music video reflects the professionalism of two dedicated and hard working Austin-based production companies. This was done for the Dashboard Confessional/MySpace music video competition.

not actually a huge fan of this video. It needs some major color correction work, and a 2/3 pulldown (or being shot in 24p in the first place) would make it look a lot more professional, I think.

I do like the stage shots, though.

Thanks man. The whole thing actually was shot in 24p on a Canon XL2 and I did what color correction I could (you should see it without). The problem was lack of decent lighting. We used a clamp light with a 100w incandescent.

Really? I actually thought Dashboard was hosting a contest for amateur filmmakers yet then decided to choose ONE of the contestants to grace with their actual likeness for their video. Because that would definitely be fair. And then, the ONE contestant who actually DID get them in their video would chose to use silhouette shots as to mask the fact that the were the only entrant to get to use the band in their video. Right. Of course.

those shots are of some guy with a guitar. not dashboard. and you can harly call dashboard a band. theres not really a line up. but i love them.

I have never heard this song before, but I like it, its got a good amount of anger and redemption. this video portraits it too. chick is hot!
