In my opinion zippo lighters are not adequate for lightning pipes because of the negative properties of the petrol. This petrol lighters destroy the fnie aromatics of pipe tobacco anr ruin you pipe,

If you have a 7-11 where you are, try DJEEP Paris lighters. They're 2 dollars. They usually sell them up front by the register.

I have all kinds of classier-looking pipe lighters, but this one is the best one I've ever used. Runs on butane, and they are refillable.

They have an elevated light platform that allows the flame to easily enter deep into the bowl.

They also lasts longer than some of the other better-looking, pricier butanes out there. Way better for pipes than a bic.

I find that solar flares tend to char the rim of my pipe if I'm not careful.
