  • this has been such a crazy year for weather...

this school year alone, we missed 9 days (4 for an ice storm in January, and 5 for the reminants of hurricane ike back in the fall...) and each time, our house lost power for a week.

so, i feel ya. glad you have power back! it's a great feeling...

  • Years and years back when I was a senior in highschool, my area in South Central Nebraska (don't live there now) was hit with a storm just like that and they coined it "inland hurricane" as well. Such an insane experience! We had huge slabs of wood literally splintered into and through the roof and siding. We didn't go without power that long, though. Wowy!
