Video showing you a very simple leather strop used to sharpen knives. All you really need is some leather, a piece of plywood, and some good contact cement. You can use your leather tools to make some interesting designs in some of the strop, but you need to leave the vast majority of your strop untouched so that it will make proper contact with your knife blade. When the strop is finished just apply a small amount of jeweler's rouge to the leather and begin sharpening your knife. In future videos we will show you how to use the strop! We may even have a subscription contest and give away some. Please check out our site at www.survivalreviews.com and thank you for watching.

  • Just cringe every time I see paper cut as a demo. No faster way to dull a blade.
