  • Try without aids on simulator mode.

  • @bassheadpl it's already on simulator mode, the only thing I had on was the auto-clutch because my previous wheel had no clutch pedal.

  • I am wondering how you can drive like that. Is it your setup or what? can you hand it to me?

  • It's a lot down to the setup, it surely helps to put the car where I want and not where "it" wants.

I've lost that setup, since I had to reinstall everything after some problems with windows, but I have a new one and I've been a little bit faster than this 1'41"646 when racing online.

  • how much of it comes down to the setup and car. i did a 1:45 in a lambo which i cant beat. is the 550 much quickerand do u use a certain setup. nice driving aswell.

  • I'd say about 50/50 between setup and car... a car that doesn't do what the driver wants is far more difficult to begin with. My PB with the Lambo is around high 1'42s, low 1'43s.

I think the F550 is a bit faster down the straights and yes, I use my own setup based on my driving style.

    Thanks for the comment!

  • I like the "slow in - fast out" approach and the smoothness of the throttle really helps on those two critical parts of this track. On the exit of the first chicane I like to have a little oversteer going on and on the second one I feel I'm picking up the throttle a bit later than other guys I saw going round Monza.

My suspension setup is pretty much standard, maybe with a little slow-speed damping tweaks, but nothing too complex.

    Keep driving hard!

  • I have improved an awful lot by sticking to that concept of smoothness. This video is over a year old and I've been gaining lots and lots of experience by taking part in a league. 2 categories (GTR2's nGT and WTCC on RACE 07)... I'm still struggling to find myself with those little WTCC cars though, but it's good fun.

By the way, thanks for the comment, mate! :-)

  • I got a 1:40.798 in a qualifying session once at monza but that was down to a hell of a lot of slipstreaming.

Best laptimes are acheived if you don't attack the corners too hard.

One bit of advice i was taught and still stick to, is - - - "SLOW IS SMOOTH, SMOOTH IS FAST". Works for me.
