What is The Atheist Experience?

The Atheist Experience is a weekly cable access television show in Austin, Texas geared at an atheist and non-atheist audience. The Atheist Experience is produced by the Atheist Community of Austin (ACA), a nonprofit educational corporation to develop and support the atheist community, to provide opportunities for socializing and friendship, to promote secular viewpoints, to encourage positive atheist culture, to defend the first amendment principle of state-church separation, to oppose discrimination against atheists and to work with other organizations in pursuit of common goals.

The problem with the christian answer is that it's not an interpretation of evidence, and it's not necessarily true. Really the atheist is answering a question of 'how' not 'why'. A better example would be:

Atheist: I don't know why [honest answer]

Christian: I know exactly why; "INSERT SPECIFIC REASON" [Dishonest because they don't really know]

I always, even as a kid, found the idea of god, watching me 24/7 to be disturbing. In the bathroom, bathtub, while having sex, while you're sleeping? That he can read your mind and knows your thoughts? I knew that was somehow ALL WRONG. I never found it comforting...kids being raped and murdered, and he is watching. Only watching...I don't know when I stopped believing, or maybe I just never really did. It's UNBELIEVABLE. Unless you're a sadist. Or god is.
