On last summer's trip to Tanzania, 2008, we not only saw wonderful animals, but had the opportunity to meet and visit with two groups of Maasai women. Our group was primarily women, all interested in knowing about the culture of women in Tanzania. We learned about many of their daily chores and life as a Maasai woman. They are a friendly and happy people. We also visited a school and joined them in singing "Row, Row Row Your Boat." Our guide was very knowledgeable and shared with us many aspects of local traditions and customs. Traveling with Overseas Adventure Travel, www.oat.com, is always an adventure of learning and discovery.
