@DJChiefyChief must use a "glossy on one side" poster board. (use the glossy side) i buy peacock poster board from walgreens

@DJChiefyChief now i understand. I use magazine paper. has to be glossy. cannot use newspaper because it sucks up the paint. the corner of a magazine page shaded just right becomes a pyramid. hope that helps.

mind if i ask what type of paint you use? ive tried tons and none seem to come out as good as this does.

@sk8dude6893 the paper is most important. must be a glossy side. i use peacock poster board"glossy one side" from walgreen's and yes USE the glossy side. for paint, I personally use krylon or rustoleum but NEVER mix brands on the same piece. hope this helps.
