This is a poem I wrote for my mom as a Mother's day gift. Basically I think that each person in the world should feel the same way about there mom! Unless, their mom is a bad mom! None the less I hope you all enjoy and feel free to recite it to your mom if you like.

Mother's Day Poem

You know mom, there was a time when I didn't fully appreciate everything you had done for me.

For example; carrying me around for nine months, and during that time not eating fish, having a drink, or jumping on trampolines.

Then on my day of birth you gave me a fully fledged, all access, no annual fee membership to this amazing club called life. You gave me the keys that opened doors to becoming who I wanted to be and through all my ups and downs you were the one who was always around.

You cleaned scrapes and bandaged cuts, for an upset stomach you gave me 7Up, and when I had a broken heart you had an endless supply of hugs.

I wish I had the world as my audience just so I could show that you're the most hardworking, calm, and reserved person that I know. You don't brag, you don't gloat, and there's not a single cell in your body that desires to show boat.

This is where we are different mom. So on your behalf, I'm going to boast.

Let's say I have a large mixing bowl.

I could crack open an egg of syllables, pour in a barrel of synonyms, add strawberries, vanilla, and a dash of cinnamon. Spread it over a thesaurus and a dictionary. Bake it for 44 minutes on 475 and I still we be unable to create a word to describe, transcribe, to make you realize that my mom is the greatest thing on this earth.

Go ahead try and search.

You see most people shoot for the moon and purposely miss just so they can hang out with the stars. My mom shot for the moon and landed right on it so all of the starts stare at her. If you look up remarkable, grand, great or legendary in the dictionary it shows you a picture of my mom. And if you drew her name in a Pictionary game you could just pencil out an angel. They say that every boy grows up to marry his own mother which I find hard to be true because there will never ever ever be another person quite like you.

She is as close to perfect as it comes, her smile makes the rain run, and my greatest accolade is being her son.

Please know that when I recite this that there are three others who feel just like this. There isn't a story or poem that could match the amount of love you have shown. So really the only thing we can say, is Happy Mother's day.
