In case anyone is wondering, yes, I'm still working on this game. I've nearly completed the main story, but still plan on a number of other parts, such as a secret dungeon, the monster arena, the games in Funland, and possibly other side quests/dungeons. Since the story is almost done I won't be uploading another demo until it's complete. The current demo is practically 75% of the story already.

Only way I'd play this is if you include some platforming, like in gargoyle's quest or zelda 2. The mixture was what WB was all about imo.

Wonderboy has always only been a platformer, never an RPG (though there were RPG elements). And since the program I'm using is called RPGMaker, it's kind of hard to make a platformer. But I did make a mini game that's sort of like the original Wonderboy game. It's in Funland, if you decide to play the game.

True. That's why a lot of it is non-RTP. I happen to think the charsets and facesets go well with the game. I find it hard to come by good sound files, as well as spell graphics. The only RTP monster I use is for Rathe, to correspond to the RTP charset of Rathe. Even then I have made several edits of many RTP graphics that I do use. If you want completely non-RTP (except sounds) check my Thera Awakening demo.
But, resources aside, I'm curious what people think of the game overall.
