@zacthebold: You are right. Paul cannot contradict Christ. Paul himself said, Love does no wrong to its neighbor as well. The problem is with man's interpretation of what Paul said. Obviously Paul is not advocating that we follow the commands of leaders who commit sins against humanity. That would place our loyalty to man over God. We already know what God said about it, and He is unchanging. In that same set of passages, he states that we should not commit murder.

Goes to show you how blind this pastor is. Jesus says do not repay evil with evil, but Paul something different so let's go with Paul and ignore Jesus, who is supposed to by the pastor's god. Unbelievable!!! They'll do anything to dance around the contradictions.

Romans 13
King James Version (KJV) 1Let every soul be subject unto the higher powers. For there is no power but of God: the powers that be are ordained of God. 2Whosoever therefore resisteth the power, resisteth the ordinance of God: and they that resist shall receive to themselves damnation. 3For rulers are not a terror to good works, but to the evil. Wilt thou then not be afraid of the power? do that which is good, and thou shalt have praise of the same:

@NewbieDrumming Lets say Paul was divinely inspired. The two ideas still contradict one another. Wouldn't the word of Jesus trump anything Paul said if it contradicted him? Perhaps Paul put a little bit of his own thoughts into the book? If Paul is just a man then he can sin too.

I kind of wish that myself was in this episode rather than this postor. Because hes not doing a good job lol. Now, he should have said that as Christians, we believe that Paul was divinely inspired by God, and are not his own words, but the words of God. Not because its "in the same book". I could stick a page in saying "kill all the muslims and jews!", but that won't make it Gods word. Frankly, the validity of the bible as a whole is tough for me to fully accept, even as a christian. Bye :D
"It's in the same book."
Yeah, so is genocide, rape, slavery, and human sacrifice supposedly commanded by God. I guess those things are moral as well?
