yeh, nice use of stats Keith. while you're at it why dontyou look up the percentage of black people still living below the poverty line in your great country? i think you'll see a similar correlation between tough backgrounds/living circumstances and the temptation into a life of crime between all races in your great great country.

any politics conducted on the basis of race is a moot point. we are all one people, but merely defined by country of origin, race, height, wealth etc.

economic theory has argued that the legalisation of drugs is the least bad solution. continuing the 'war on drugs' is massively expensive, creates drug monopolies and cartels and makes very rich criminals who exploit many people around the world. this would continue to a slight extent (see black market cigarettes), but the financial gain and humanitarian gain to the world would out weigh this problem.
with the money saved we could educate people not to use drugs. ps. you're a racist scumbag

i say get schooled in the imperfect system, but expand on that schooling in your spare time so you can be your own person. many people make it without schooling, but many more make it with schooling.

dont be racist, please.
an education system is a massive network of teachers who impart what they've learnt on to the next generation. i dont think it's any more cynical than that. (perhaps the only cynicism is the targets the teachers have to adhere to, thus concentrating on a core syllabus that isnt necessarily relevent to the real world...but those targets are set by lazy management who want to make their job easier by seeing stats. not by racist opressors)

I am Ethiopian so i don't have a problem with racism. But the truth is, westerns are the one who brought formal education and plotted the system. It has restricted our brain to some extant because we are told that Newton said this Einstein said that and that is what is right.

I am sorry to say this but I feel the restriction here that is not letting us to understand the world the way we need to. Yesterday, cleaning our house with detergents and chemicals were right because they told us so. Now it is wrong and we all accepted it again. So, tell me if I am wrong.
