Having bought quite a few microphones over the years, I would advise anyone intending to use their computer for recording voice-overs and podcasts to get a decent USB interface like the Yamaha Audiogram6 . It immediately frees you up to go out and plug virtually any microphone into your computer. So you won't have to pay the additional premium for a USB microphone every time! And it allows you to monitor your recordings using headphones as well as powering microphones requiring phantom power... plus it comes with Cubase AI5 recording software. Have a look at our detailed review to learn more about its various features and controls.

@Alexezmedia you own this? Can I ask a very straight forward question? I use Cubase, now can I use this device and record 6 separate mono channels?

It doesn't work as Sound card unfortunately, it's a usb mixer. I'm using it for recording and it's great for portable studio...

Does the audiogram work as a Sound Card?I mean, it serves as an output for the PC sound, giving it a higher quality sound versus onbord?
