At the point where the two river of Lyon come together, the quick moving Rhone and the slower Saone, the colors of the two rives collide before mixing. They converge just after a peninsula that has rather than being a tourist spot to admire the confluence, a factory quarter full of smoke belching factories. The city of Lyon's current plan to redevelop the quarter involves building a massive complex, with a mix of cultural institutions, shops, and housing called the Lyon Confluence. The mayor in the past has already, self-admittedly, sold the soul of Lyon to Dubai, is he now trying to replace the void with a massive mall?
