  • This problem has been resolved with the latest updates. Start up time is now similar to the kindle as is page turn speed. Also, all new units in the stores are pre loaded with the updates.

  • It also uses e-ink technology to make the screen look more like a page from a real book as to not strain your eyes as easily! The nook also has 3 to 4 times as many ebooks available thatn the kindle or sony e-reader, many of wich are free! It also has expandable memory! many other perks as well! Seriously people like this should do REAL research! Not to mention it's still brand new 1st Gen! It will only get better.

  • Interesting but does the Kindle has audio to hear the book your reading like the nook has? Looking to buy but the nook is to expensive and don't know if the kindle has the features to read the book to you.

  • Lol @ the comment below

  • ohh darn, whatever shall we do with .5 seconds slower page turning

  • you know it's sad how companies invest money on how long it takes to turn the page of a nook, just think about it! It's pretty funny, but yeah im getting a nook hopefully soon when i get my money raised up :)

  • tht kindle is big, compared to the nook the nook is really awesome

  • @NitroNitrous i am guessing it takes the normal person 1s lol

  • personily idc how long it takes 2 turn pages iam not in no hurry 2 get 2 the next page as long as it turns im okka

  • nookColor is the retarded, fugly, useless, lovechild that the nook gave birth to after being raped by the masculine, god-like, sexy iPad

  • @koladrea12

Personally, I prefer the Kindle DX to either of the readers featured in this video. I've also got over 700 books on mine and I still have about 2 gigs free.

  • the nook is still better theres only like a little page turning diffrence
