  • ah, i wish my french was better!

  • @iiiiiccccc I wish my English was not so limited to translate my French videos!

Marlene thought Mamoulian was not able to give her the magic she wanted.

Maria explains how Marlene prepared with Sternberg the lights during the night for "Song of Songs". The day after, she told how they had to film her, she wasn't supposed to do it, it is prohibited by the unions, but when they saw the result, they aplaused. ..Maria was so proud!

I hope you've learned something, my friend!

  • Great pictures, and an interesting interview, of a wonderful movie !

    Marlene Forever !!

    Thanks for sharing :-)

    Irene.

  • @MarleneXtreme Yes, Mamoulian was not a as great artist and creator as von Sternberg but the movie is beautiful, Marlene too (of course!).

    Thank you, Irene ;-)

  • I still haven't seen this film! I love Marlene and thanks for this post!

  • @marguitar1 It's a good movie: Marlene sings and plays a innocent girl, a baronness and a cabaret singer in the same movie! Thank you ;-)
