    Wrong They didn't have to cherry pick for skinny teenagers they were in abundance back then I know being a child of the 70's We didn't always eat right but we didn't sit idle for hours in front of a tv or computer not to mention the stuff they put in food today. Watch the Soul Train doc these are just average HS kids from LA & unlike today if you were fat back then people called you fat & no poltical correctness Most people don't have a waist today no wonder they keep their pants on their hips

    The 70s episodes of Soul Train were waaay before my time but there's something about watching Brothers and Sisters show their creativity through dance and having a good time.

    I think the executives/directors probably chose skinnier seemingly healthier looking participants lol. Totally not trying to argue Americans haven't become exceedingly unhealthy since this time. We have gotten much less healthy over the years...i'm sure there were tons of unhealthy fat people watching this at home lol.

    I WISH that the groove they had back in the 70's was still going on today.I love watching these videos and my favorite couple is @ 1:43. It just seems that they really had fun when they were dancing then....
