Both vehicles are revolutionary in their own right. The Volt can go 40 miles on electricity without speed limitations before a gasoline engine generator kicks in to propel you 35 mpg. The Plug-in Prius can go 12 miles on electricity but with a 62mph limitation, however it offers 50 miles per gallon.
