A somewhat rare cartridge, Dune 2 for the Sega Megadrive/Genesis manages to surpass the PC original, even without the much needed mouse support. Better graphics and identical Gameplay made this one a winner back in 1994, I was very sad not to see it on the Super Nintendo. Enjoy me having some fun on mission 1 with House Atreides.

  • I am going to try to find this on Ebay.Id really like to add this to collection but one question I have.Is there a 2 player option? Perhaps split screen?

  • @willmill77642 Sadly no, but if you want to, get Herzog Zwei (browse for my video of it), it's the best 2 player split screen RTS ever made!

  • I would recommend the Amiga/Dos version for the "full experience", but this is still worth playing as it has some alterations that are more appropriate for the Megadrive. Access to 4 cement panels, and slightly faster harvesters...and considering you could only select one unit at a time on the other versions, the mouse isn't as missed as it was for C&C for the PS or Saturn.

    Passwords are welcome too.

  • pc version was the best, as its easier with a mouse and keys, graphic sprites slightly better too

  • Sega version was best :)

  • @st1ka

    Genesis version - 320×224

    PC version - 320×200

  • I still remember few cheats to this

    SPLURGEOLA (I think)-tons of cash!!!

  • I didn't know one. Does released on EU&US market only?

  • My favorite RTS game of my Sega Mega Drive 2 :)

I dont know what happen to my cartrige, but box i have.

  • As someone who's played both versions I have to disagree with the megadrive version being the best. It has better music but fewer voice samples (and they're not as clear as the PC version), it's harder to controll the game in the sega version unless you own the sega mouse, The graphics also seem to run at a lower resolution making all the buildings and vehicles seem to big, cluttering the screen, it's also missing a lot of cutscenes from the PC version

  • i remember spending nights on this game with my brother

  • where can i find the tracks for this game?
