Just set it up, here's me testing how it looks!! The clip playing is a 720p clip from Microsoft's test site. The projector is the Optoma H55, the camera is a Panasonic Lumix TZ3 on video mode, great video quality at 30fps but crap audio quality!!

  • ill never bother with a hd projector , because all movies i watch r xvid lol , i cant tell much different between sd and hd in movies anyway , so bleh

  • Are you serious?? Do you not know that XVID can cater for HD quality/size movies!? You won't tell the difference between SD and HD unless you've got an appropriate screen/projector lol!!!! Thats like saying that you can't see the difference between a Ferrari and a Skoda having never driven a Ferrari!!

  • um , i dint say that , i have a 1600p screen and a 1200p screen and a 1080p screen and a svga projector , ive seen hd movies on all these screens , and the HD isnt that much difference for what its worth at the moment , im happy with downlaoding a 700mb movie in 10 mins and playing it on a projector ,it takes like fucking 3 hrs to download a 6 gig hd movie , fuck that , when net speeds r better and when hd projectors r cheaper and my bulb dies then ima get one

  • How big are your screens and what sort of screens are they? Unless you've watched HD on a screen of at least 37" or bigger, you wouldn't *really* notice the difference. HD projectors are already cheap considering the size and quality of the screen that you end up!!

  • @AshleyHall Hahahaha love the analogy! Very true as well!

  • @girlsdrinkfeck im only 400 hours away from buying a 32 inch screen hehe or a 400 quid HD projector

  • 1600p is 24 inch , 1080p is 42 inch, i kinow there is a difference , but there only is if i make myself notice the finer detail, hd screens r better used for desktop computing and gaming , it really brings out detail in games at 1600p with the textures, like i said , id get a hd projector when the bulb dies on my cujrrent one and when new projectors with a LED lamp r dropped in price because bulbs is a con

  • Aaah an HD projector? is it also 1080p??? How much!!! :P I'm still using a nonHD projector and have had it for about 6 years (still on its first bulb XD)

Though I've been hoping to maybe find a fairly good 1080 HD proj for around 1500 so that I can keep an eye on. Any suggestions???

  • I was thinking exactly the same, you'd have thought they'd reduce the lamp cost for the older projectors by now wouldn't you!!

  • Go for it mate - I've not noticed this image shift, I'll have to find out what firmware version I'm running, whats yours?
