@samblia The reason that ex-chel-sees is correct is that it is Ecclesiastical Latin, not Roman Latin. There are many differences, the Ch for C is only one of the more obvious ones. Or maybe you did not like the last vowel, the "ee" sound?

All fine, except pronounce - in excelsis - is not inexchelshish or something. Sounds terrible, its pure latin.
