We all age. We get fat, lose hair, go grey, look older. None of us at 50 look like we did at 20. If looks is what you're choosing for your life-long partner, then you could be missing out on a very wonderful relationship. What will happen when those looks diminish with time?

Here's another way to look at it. Intelligence / Individual personality. I had a model hit on me once, she wanted to date, so I gave it a try. Everyone thought she was beautiful… but when I seen her act a bitch to a few good people, I dumped her right in front of everyone. Superficial to me, is lack of personality, and shallow. Beauty doesn’t equate to a whole person, balanced on all levels.

@LeoLovesNature Its when people are treated ugly on a humanitarian level based on their appearance. That is superficial and its the uglier side of that word thats also present in societies!
In the video he uses the example of relationship preference and how superficial is an apparent factor present in the cosmic dance of genders which makes superficial seem friendly and playful almost lol.

I'd have to agree with the video . Interest in others is based on ego standards. That explains why various different individuals yield different response to similar scenarios. Its a layer of society thats not talked about much but is the biggest decider of why some ppl are more successful at getting jobs, friends, relationships etc while others are blocked. Law of natural selection. Predetermined outcome. Predisposed. Permission systems setup to deal with other humans constantly day in day out.

nothing wrong with sexual attraction, whats wrong its ignoring and treating people vad because of their looks, thats superficial for me.

Women are 1000x more superficial then men are. At least when a man is attracted to a woman's looks, it's part of HER. What are women attracted to? arkady mentions "posture, ho he acts etc." but lets cut the crap. Heres what women are REALLY attracted to:
-MONEY
-SOCIAL STATUS
-GUY BEING A JERKOFF
Now you tell me, what is more superficial? Being attracted to a woman for what she looks like (natural), OR being attracted to a man for something he has which is INANIMATE, like ca$h?

Yes men do first look at how girls look. Its not all about the looks though, no matter how hot girl if she isnt a nice person/you type then we are not attracted to her.

That's kinda missing the point. The point is more that whether it makes sense or not, we look to another's looks for cues on who we should mate with.

Well, I've fallen in love with guys that I've not found attractive when I've first met then. I really do fall for people that I get on with and who make me feel good.

I believe women are superficial too, because they dress sexy to get the attention of a desirable guy, and also for the competition going on with other women... They compete on how they dress..

Good point. We are all "superficial" in a sense as we care about the way things and people look and it is part of our nature.
