Indeed, this is true. Jesus acknoledges the law, by say: does anyone condemn you? Neather do I. (see John 8:10-11) He acknolegse adoltry is a sin, punishable by death. By this awsome story Jesus shows that the law can work injust, can work against people. The law is a guardian, shows what people can not do. Jesus offers mercy and grace, giving the power for anyone not to sin, and built a new life Wher His Spirit dwells in the body of the believer!

Funny, not only does Islam disagree with Christianity, but so does JUDAISM. Or should we be saying, Christianity does not agree with Judaism? Btw. most critical scholarship (including that done by religious conservatives) acknowledges that the passage from John's Gospel in question is apocryphal - it was a later addition, and may or may not reflect how Jesus thought about this subject.

In Islam, we have laws about the adulteress, it's so complicated and I can't explain it here. BUT there is ONE thing you should KNOW, the laws of punishment should be executing by the government, not the community as you said

i think that you are fucked in the head. I think i heard a story about a Saudi girl who was raped, and then put to death by her community because supposedly, she comitted adultry. Jesus did not punish her since he knew that situation was set up by the Jews. The Jews wanted to put Jesus in trouble SINCE the laws at his time of their government considered the adultery NOT as a crime. The Jews brought the women without the man. THUS, Jesus played it right.
