Let me know what yall think; questions and commentary are always welcome. Here's a quick walk-around of my beloved 1986 Toyota 4x4...I hope Marty Mcfly would be proud. I have owned the truck for going on 11 years, looking forward to many more years of enjoyment. Engine bay needs dressing up (no accessory block for electronics); here is a list of modifications to the best of my knowledge:
EXTERIOR / DRIVE AND POWERTRAIN
-Factory 22RE (for now; performance head and valvetrain purchased)
-33"x10.50 BFG MT KM's on 15"x8" Pacer Soft 8 wheels
-Fresh paint and bodywork, December 2009
-4.56 gears, heavy duty rear 3rd member (out of 6 cyl truck)
-Heavy duty front torsion bars, cranked slightly
-Add-a-leafs + 2" blocks to level wheel wells in rear; extra spring clamps
-Replaced Trans / T-case with 1993 W56
-Smitty front and rear bumpers; front modified for low-profile winch mount
-Warn M8000 winch; solenoid pack mounted under hood; wireless control
-Toolbox w/ high-lift jack mounted to back of box
-Line-X spray-in bedliner
-Custom air intake, electric fan
-Custom diff breathers (front under hood, rear under toolbox)
-Window tint 20% on door windows; 5% on all others
-Auxiliary reverse lights triggered to reverse lamps and stand-alone switch
-Clear corner and turn markers
-Wilson Trucker 2000 CB antenna
-5000lb receiver hitch
-All the tools, chains, straps, or anything else needed for recovery or repair kept in toolbox
INTERIOR / ELECTRICAL
-Bucket seats and center console from 1986 4Runner
-Console pad reupholstered
-Garmin 260w, power cord extended and ran through upholstry to hide wire
-Alpine 200w head unit, iPod cable hardwired and routed to center console
-Alpine 4.5" 3-way speakers in dash
-Alpine 420w, 4ch amp pushing boston acoustic component speakers
-Alpine 400w mono-block pushing JL 10w3V3 subwoofer in custom-built box
-Woofer box built into custom bench, fires sideways towards passenger side
-Peaked 20w Cobra 25LTD classic
-Inclinometer from 1988 4Runner
-Stand-alone water temp gauge
EMERGENCY RESPONSE
-Whelen remote-mount siren, controls installed on center console
-Star mini-phantom red LED lights in windshield (3 units)
-Whelen 180w 8-strobe head control module (2 in front corners, 4 in tail lights)
It looks like yours is a fuel injected. I have a 87 with a carb

@ShookOne13 Yes it is. carburetion was standard on these trucks up till about 88, EFI was a DX / SR5 option (i.e. not standard equipment); fuel injection was not standard until 1989.

got a question ..i have a 94..just put an pitman arm and idle arm on it and lined up. but still pulls and wonders on the road.. do i need a sterring stablizer or something else..i have 31x15.50 on it ??? iam lost the truck was garage kept when i bought it ..i love the truck but i need help ??? what can i try ????

@hockeyfreak043 not sure, maybe the alignment wasn't done correctly. mine's never wandered, and it has 33x10.50s on it now. no steering stabilizer.
