a cinder block can be a reef. Coralline will grow on it and beneficial bacterias and other algaes will proliferate on it once your tank cycles. never use bottled water or tap water or distilled water. Use Reverse Osmosis water which you can make using an RO/DI unit or purchase at and LFS.

@melissacarl2002 live stock will die. Like the guy says check every day and if it is high add just R.O water to dilute the salt in the tank and bring the salinity down. Never add salt and water when topping up. You will just make things worse.
