  • Hey, My name is Serena(: Im 15 years old and I just got surgery too. I tore my Medial Meniscus in Half and on the MRI it just showed my ACL was strained. But when they did the surgery they saw my ACL was completely torn. I got my first surgery for my Meniscus about 3 weeks ago. They didn't do the ACL surgery on the same day because my knee was too stiff. i can walk on my leg but i cant straighten or bend it all the way. They want me to go through therapy for 6 weeks then do the ACL surgery.

  • @LOLSerena oh wow! i got my meniscus and acl at one surgery. i hope everything goes well !:)

  • Thank you for sharing your your experience with us. My 16 year old daughter tore her ACL,, PCL and her meniscus two weeks ago in a volleyball tournament. Needless to say she too is going in for surgery Easter break. As a parent you wish the injury could happen to you, but as brave as you girls are, I think you will heal much better than us old farts:-). We will keep you in our prayers for a full and speedy recovery and I hope you are back better that ever real soon! God Bless.....

  • @TheMinnieMouseMe well im not on a team anymore im just doing privates..but i only had a full and now i just have my layout but you don't really lose anything and if you did you get it back super fast

  • @crazygrl244 Cool, do you feel normal again and whats your highest tumbling now,? did you loose skills?

  • @LOLSerena well you are only at a month! i think around that time my knee was popping out and doing really funky things and i was scared i hurt it again/wasn't healing but it's all good now so you will heal don't worry about it(: and mine is great haha

  • @crazygrl244 I got my surgery on February 2nd. So almost 4 weeks. :/ when i first got injured we waited like 2 months to get my MRI because the doctor thought it was just a sprain. I never moved it because it hurt, so I kept it in a slightly bent position for like 3 months. So i dont know if that has anything to do with it. Im hoping it will heal and ill be back to sports. (: How is yours healing?

  • @LOLSerena well how long has it been since you had your surgery? and it takes a while to heal so don't worry you'll eventually be able to bend it :)

  • I dont know why i cant bend or straighten my knee all the way. I feel like its not getting better. How did you recover? How long were you stiff, if you were stiff? I would love to hear your answers. Thanks, Serena!

  • @TheMinnieMouseMe yes! :)
