Recorded 29th April 2009 - I have RSD, also known as Complex Regional Pain Syndrome (CRPS) in all my limbs and my jaw. My condition has been on a downward spiral since a ketamine infusion lead to an unusual withdrawal earlier this year. The pain specialist did not want to treat me after this happened, I am just trying to deal with that and figure out what comes next.

  • you should move to America, the doctors here will keep on treating you as long as you can pay or they can bill your insurance. But getting insurance with a pre-existing condition might be a problem..

  • @rumit99 we have pretty good health care in Australia. I have had access to a lot of treatment options that I know people in the US have struggled to get. I'm doing much better these days, focusing on overall health and noticing improvements that way :)

  • i just found your channel, i pray your doing well,

im so so sorry to hear your story!!

i can't believe in this era and the science that we still can't help people who suffer... it's almost abuse, and it is tourture...

    all my love

    deanna, friend in florida

    ps, he's an ass

  • thanks for watching - that doctor was definitely an ass! I would really like to report him to the medical practitioners board, but I need energy for that! Still struggling, hopefully one day :)

  • Thanks for sharing. I am headed for a Ketamine infusion in a few years. I have heard allot of reports that living and raw foods are healing RSD/CRPS. Check out video's on wheatgrass, rejuvilac, living foods, ann wigmore. I have gone vegan. Dropping dairy and wheat is good. Thx for share.

  • The diet definitely helps, my flares aren't lasting as long or swelling as much so that's a nice change! Thanks for watching :)

  • @Rellacafa glad to hear that your doing better. Wish you the strength to pull through. Good luck!

  • Hi! I've never seen any official statistics on how often ketamine works, but it's definitely individual. I know some people who have gone into full remission, some who have no change and then I ended up worse...they need to iron out the kinks in the treatment! Luckily in Australia it's covered by health insurance so it's not as expensive as elsewhere in the world. Thanks for watching! Things have been hectic lately as I've just moved house but hoping to get back to updating very soon :)

  • I have heard reports that ketamine treatments only work 40% of the time, and most of the people that it does work on have a return of the pain within a few months following treatment. This is why I don't think spending $50,000 for ketamine is of any benefit.

Please keep us updated. Thank you!

  • Thanks! What would make it super cool would be if the thumb had it's own flip top end as well...now that would be AWESOME :P
