Jonathan Williams makes me bawl my eyes out every single time (I NEVER cry), no other JVJ has ever done that to me. JOJ is also fantastic, Alfie is brilliant but too operatic for me. I don't care for Bowman's rendition at all, which strikes me as indifferent and unenthusiastic.

Johnathan is Simon's understudy, I have seen them both and also John Owen Jones and I have to say they were all incredible and played the roles so differently, voices amazing, personal favourite is definitely Simon Bowman .... can't wait for them to tour over in the USA again so I can take my son

Beautiful song, and this actor sings gives a great performance of this as well -- but my favourite rendition is by Simon Bowman, the current Valjean , because he his capable of conveying emotion so beautifully through his eyes, voice, and mere presence.

Have been searching all day to figure out who was playing Valjean as I'm sure it wasn't Simon, and now I've found him!

Saw Jonathan on Saturday - and having heard other JVJs sing this song - he has the purist most beautiful quality in his rendition of this. A great performer and an excellent actor too. He has it all.
