DIY i3DG gadget - a 3D "hologram" on any possible screen

A cheap DIY approach to make your own i3DG gadget, for those who can't wait for it to be sold at stores. The idea is based on this video:

I used: cardboard, 3 fronts from normal plastic cd cases and an old tft screen which functioned as the 'Ipod'. Making one that could fit your Iphone/pod/pad or any other mobile phone or screen should be just as easy.

I made a simple animation in after effects and played it on a tft screen. I attached the cd covers to the cardboard and put it on top of the screen. The cd covers both reflect the underlying animation while also letting through the next layer of animation.
