I normally don't need to refer to another email when writing a email so I prefer the extra real estate that is offered by the old, single, window. It's a nice option to have but I do not like it as the norm. I also prefer having options out in plain sight not hidden under a some obscure symbol. That also goes for where google buried "Contacts" in a past gmail update. With so much blank space on the screen why not have what users commonly use out in the open.

I am too really annoyed by this feature. Using Gmail every day, many times a day, I feel limited an disgusted by this.

I've already installed and configured thunderbird to use Gmail via IMAP. If Google don't give us an option to keep the old compose, I'm ready to switch.

What happened to my contacts? I can't see the email addresses anymore in my Cc box. I can only see their names. This sucks when I have to send a list of emails addresses to people. Now, I can only send names...? WTF?!
