This is my father's mandolin, what I believed was a 1935 National Reso-Phonic Resonator Mandolin but is likely some other experimental 1930s combination given the dobro parts that make it up. It has misc damage including missing most of the seal, a broken original tailpiece (temporarily replaced with another model with the aid of some felt to fill the body-tailpiece gap), a slight gap between the neck and body, and cosmetic things. It still sounds great, even without an amp. Hard to fret due to the strings being off the fretboard a good bit, but fun. I am trying to learn how to play it here and there around acoustic guitar, and keyboards. Photos included show its life since I acquired it following my father's death in 1998.
