  • STS-111 although not a truss construction flight it is the fourth flight of 15 to build the truss. this flight bring up the Mobile Base Unit. this par t is needed because the arms reach is limited and when the modules come the arm needs to get around the stations haul so this is needed to extend the reach it is also one of the main parts of the truss.
