I have health insurance with Blue Cross, and about a year ago I had an accident and required an ER visit. Took me almost 3 months and over 50 calls to them to get them to pay for my ambulance ride because, "it wasn't pre approved." I'm fully insured and this wasn't related to any preexisting condition.

These companies are scum.

Matt Taibbi is absolutely right. People are going bankrupt over their medical bills. Hospitals are suing people for not paying bills. One thousand dollars an x-ray?-who can pay that? Why is insurance even paying that? Our health care is only good if you have cash to pay for whatever doctor you want, and nobody does. insurance is total crap. What is up that brunette's ass? She has an "issue with every fact!

You can't point to one example of a drug not being provided in one country and then say "there are governments" who don't want to provide care. The fact is, if you get cancer in the UK you're more likely to live than if you get cancer in the US. One drug doesn't matter you have to look at the effectiveness of the comprehensive treatment. The only people who come to the US from other countries for treatment are the insanely rich.
