@Captncronica the galil dust cover is intended to be extremely tight toleranced. its to keep the rear sight from loosing zero. DO NOT have a gunsmith remove material or dremel or file at it. ITS SUPPOSED TO BE ALMOST IMPOSSIBLE!

@PILMAN How do you clean your barrel? I hear aluminum and stainless steel rods foul the barrel. Also when I insert the rod from the back of the barrel I have to push the rod at an angle because the receiver is in the way or could I do it from the other end? Sorry I'am new to rifles. Thanks

@PILMAN I had to lightly bang the sides with the rubber handle of a screwdriver to get it off. I went to the gun store where I bought it and two people that worked there couldnt do it by hand. They took it to the back used some tools now it fits perfect

@oknehh This isn't an AR15 where the gas tube is located inside of the handguard.

This is bullshit, I cant get the dust cover back on you make it look easy. Im going to ask my local gun store for help I tried for an hour.

@Captncronica You gotta push in the recoil spring slightly while pushing down the dust cover, it's tricky, trust me it took me a good hour to get it then I was like "oh, that wasn't so difficult"

Does your dust cover sit tightly, and how securely does the gas tube fit? (wondering about getting a tactical tube with ris)
I wanted to pick up a century arms golani, any comment on accuracy compared to an AR?

@tokishreds it's pretty tight and gas tube shouldn't really move, it fits in groove. Theres a lip that connects and keeps it in place, century arms golani is not bad, about as accurate as an AR.
