Mariah taking over for Nicole on X Factor? Hi guys, how's it going, I'm Bridget Daly for ClevverMusic. We're hearing even more rumors about Nicole Scherzinger getting axed from The X Factor. And now word on the street is that Mariah Carey is going to take her place! Apparently seeing the contestants be eliminated was too much for Nicole to handle last season, and she actually wanted out of the equation. And once Mimi got wind, she told Simon Cowell she'd be interested in filling the slot.
A source says quote, She wants to be a judge and she is in secret talks with Simon Cowell. The two are good friends and she promised to help pull in monster ratings this coming season."
Now Mariah was originally courted for the role as one of the judges originally but it interfered with her giving birth to her twins. But now she's apparently to commit full time to the position.
