At the 1996 Royal Rumble the WWF bought in The Man they Called Vader. After not being successful at the Royal Rumble he came to Raw and take on Savio Vega, but he would take out his anger out on the Referee which was stopped by Interim President Gorilla Monsoon how would Gorilla act to Vader's actions and How will the big man respond. Vince JR and Mr Perfect give their thoughts about what went down.

  • Actually it was Vader who needed time off (shoulder surgery). Monsoon was obviously not in the best of health for much of the '90s but he was at least well enough to participate in this.

  • Why on earth would Gorilla Monsoon turn his back on Vader *after* chopping him? That makes no sense, especially for someone with Gorilla's experience.

  • you never see that shit anymore. Get well Gorilla lol. They should still do that today.

  • That gave me chills seeing Gorilla get in good like that. He never put his hands on anyone, which made it even better. Unfortunately, I think this was an angle to give him time off for sickness.

  • Those were some SIC chops by Gorilla! RIP Monsoon,I wish Bobby Heenan was still in WWF during this time,he would have made a great addition to this angle,being so close to Monsoon and all.
