The titles from the first return of Crossroads in 2001. This time it was reborn as a hotel (Dont ask how that fits into the storyline). The show was brought back to fill in the tea, and lunchtime slots, left by the loss of Home and Away, however still had the infamous low budget! Despite its much hyped return, it flopped, and just managed to avoid being axed in 2002, replaced by Crossroads MKIII.
Remember it was brought back for the reasons mentioned but it was before ITV PLC. Remember those days?
As Carlton Bought Central Independent Television in 1994 so they owned the rights. If the merger between Carlton and Granada had happened earlier i doubt crossroads would of been bought back.

I never understood why the ITV soaps didn't support this one by having characters "cross over" to Crossroads. For instance, when the soap was re-launched, it would have been ideal to have some Corrie and Emmerdale regulars stay at the hotel to bring in viewers familiar with them, as they get established with the new faces and re-established with the returning ones.

@NewCorrieeps I totally lived these opening credits for the revamped Crossroads - though hated the final titles it was given before being axed.

It has a large budget, they, Carlton, just decided to spend it all on the set and not on writers or decent cast. They were warned. They didn't take heed. It did become ITV's most popular daytime programme, but was revamped to get rid of it. I think we're long enough past all those incharge leaving to be able to say that now.
