Garnet Rogers: Summer Lightning

If you have not heard Canadian musician Garnet Rogers's songs before, you are in for a treat. This is one of my favourites. If you can, go and see him perform in person: if you can't do that, then get yourself a CD. You'll find yourself hooked on his music.
There are a number of videos on YouTube of various people doing their own version of this song. For my money they don't come close to the beautiful and unforgettable original. So here is the real thing.
The photos accompanying this song are my own. They are not meant to illustrate the lyrics literally but rather the spirit of the music. And although I live in an area that you might say is jam-packed with magpies, I've never taken a single picture of one, so you will have to forgive all the seagulls, pelicans, and geese (I live near a lake). Plus, I have no pictures of a harvest moon---just the crescent. There ya go.

hey to every garnet music lover....i will have the pleasure of meeting garnet at the mae wilson theatre here in moosejaw.sk. again on oct.8th again..seen him for the 1st time last year..and i so fell in love with the indensity of his lyrics,love,pain...I am so hooked on garnet...And i will a picture of him and me on you tube......i did last year....thanks for suppporting one of our finest musician...we can be proud of calling "made in canada"..
