Tommy Carruthers Showreel - Underground Edition

After months of following, and filming the great Tommy Carruthers, my friend, Martin Dick, began to edit Sifu Carruthers first official showreel, and instructional DVD.

Just before Martin could be paid for his hard work, the showreel was snatched, and unleashed onto the internet.

This video also features original music, by Raymond Paterson, of the band "Diverz Palace", which was specifically recorded for the Tommy Carruthers instructional DVD.

The aspect ratio has been corrected for the purposes of streaming video sites.

Thanks to the great editing skills of Martin Dick, the fantastic fighting abilities of Tommy Carruthers, and his fellow students, for this amazing video.

@mmalizard I am positive that you are truely talented at what ever it is you do but as long as those who practice traditional martial arts don't seek to insult you, then please don't insult them. What does bother me are those who insult truely great individuals just because they don't live up to western cultural standards. Im not trying to say MMA isn't good because personally I think MMA is freakin awesome but Im just saying martial arts should mean something more than crowd pleasing and fighting. (extention)...one more thing. Please I am begging all of you. Do not insult Tommy Carruthers, Bruce Lee, Ip Man, Ip Chun and any other Sifu's or Grand Masters. They are not interested in proving themselves in fights or showing off. They are simply demonstrating and attempting to open people's eyes to the beauty of a culture. Calling Sifu Ip Chun and Tommy Carruthers a pussy and little girls and "gay homos" is a very disrespectful thing to do in regards to someone who has shown dedication...

Please...Ladies...Gentlemen, cease this pointless, circular arguing about this style or that style and just practice what ever style you want to. Not because you think it is effective or because you think it will get you a UFC contract. Just practice it because you truely love martial arts

Alright, I'm going to say this once and then be done with commenting on this subject. Please, learn what martial arts are really about. Ask any grand master (any real grand master) and I bet that they will tell you this: although martial arts were used in combat centuries or evn milleniums before this time, martial arts are about reolving conflict and returning to a state of peace with your enemies. Martial arts are the truest physical expression of one's self.
