Like, what's the point of reconstruction/cure if there's still poverty & malnutrition? What's really (oh my God, pardon the expression) "Fucked-Up" (your words) is that folks keep on pumping out kids when their resources are insufficient to support their increasing population. Until these folks learn to be better stewards of their limited resources, any donations will be more than outstripped by population and consumption that will continue expanding beyond resource capacity. Get the facts: there is enough food for everyone - it just doesn't get to their mouths.

Lack of food is the result of lack of money.

Lack of money for the majority and imense wealth to a minority is the nature of our capitalistic system.

I'm really very sorry for all people who suffers from diseases, wars or starves to death. It really doesn't seems to fit in our age....on the other end, what will happen when all of us are healthy and everybody does have everything they need? We will just speed up our reproduction and not long from now, there will be not enough sources to feed so many people...then what? Selective kiling? It might sounds rough, but when animals don't have proper conditions, they are not reproducing. We are.
