@imaginepeace63 Yes, both parties are represented at the state level and indeed both have serious flaws, but NOLA, as I cited, has been controlled exclusively, save 2 mayors, by the Dems since the end of the civil war, Reconstruction being the main factor in that oddity. Before the Civil War, it was controlled militarily. You are correct also with pointing out that NOLA ranks very high in "most corrupt". My assertion stands, if lib/progressivism was the answer, this place should be a Utopia.

@Danomorr Lousiana had a state majority of republicans in the legisatile branch. Also most of the democrats that were elected wre no better than the republicans. Mary Landerieu is listed as one of the most corrupt senators on crewsmostcorrupt website. We live in a two party illusion

@imaginepeace63 - NOLA has been firmly controlled by the left for 6 decades. If socialist/leftist policies were so sound, that place should be a Utopia...but alas, its a national disgrace. The MSM has chosen to avoid the real story there - "where did all that money go if it wasn't spent on infrastructure as it was intended"?
